As many people know that United Airlines and Continental Airlines are merging together, with all of the regulatory approvals that were required as well as just from the sheer size of the companies, this is taking them a while to do and so as a result the two companies have been operating seperatly. As they draw closer to the planned merger and intergrading the two companies together they will be doing away with the two different loyalty programs and merging them into one. As of right now each airline has an introductory offer for thier creditcards which are administered by Chase.
